FIRE IN THE HEART OF TEXAS

Back in 2002 a close minister friend who I served with on the first THE CALL intercession team, and who also teaches on intercession, asked me to travel with her to Killeen as she was invited to speak at the Women's Aglow International meeting there. Women's Aglow International is just that .... an international organization of Women who gather to pray and intercede. She asked me to share a testimony of how my grandson, Noah, nearly lost his life while I was on this intercession team. (Noah was in ICU .... could barely breathe.... age 3 at the time) One of the leaders of the group was a local TV reporter who hosted us in her beautiful home overnight. It was a trip I will never forget. When we rose the next morning we sat on the upstairs balcony of her home that overlooked the countryside around Killeen and Ft. Hood. Amazingly, I felt as if I were looking at ISRAEL and even commented on it!! She told me that I was not the first to make that comment. Before we left that last day, the leader of intercession for the AGLOW group arrived and the 4 of us worshipped together, prayed over the Killeen area, blew shofars together and more. Mighty mighty morning!!!

The following November 2002 I was prophesied over by a couple at a Prophetic Conference in North Dallas .... "the time had come that the Lord is giving you a GREEN light to go forward in ministry" .... there was more spoken. Three months later in February 2003 I received a "sudden call" from the Program Chairman of this Aglow Chapter asking if I would come and be the guest speaker for the Aglow group......her last name ... GREEN!!! I knew it was a sign from the Lord as He uses the color green to speak to me, "Go Forth"!  This was my first public speaking assignment. I was to minister to this group that intercedes and prays for the area that houses the "largest deployer of soldiers in the world"!! The following week I received a call from the WACO chapter of Women's Aglow asking that I come and speak at their evening meeting and also at the luncheon meeting the following day in May 2003.

Why am I sharing this? When I was asked to speak at these two central Texas towns I discovered they were both in the "HEART OF TEXAS" Regional Women's Aglow organization, which is located in an area of Texas commonly known as "H.O.T." ... the "Heart of Texas".

In February 2009 I was invited to speak in the Sunday morning service of a small church near Lake Whitney, just west of West, Texas. Once again, this area is part of the HEART OF TEXAS region. At the end of the service I stood before their small congregation, placed a red/orange/yellow "prophetic HOLY FIRE Jewish scarf" around my neck and spoke to them, "The Lord told me that I was to stand here before you as a SIGN that FIRE was coming to the Heart of Texas!" I really did not totally understand what the Lord intended by my doing that, but I did it anyway.

When Michael and I returned home that afternoon I received a phone call from a close prophetic friend in McKinney, the one who had given me the "fire scarf" as a birthday gift several years back, asking if I had seen the news of what happened that day. No. She went on to say that a "FIREBALL" had fallen in Texas and was seen by those as far away as the Dallas/Fort Worth area ... all the way down to Austin ... in daylight!!! This story was covered on National TV networks that Sunday evening and the following day as well. When they pinpointed the location this FIREBALL hit the earth we discovered the actual location was about 15 miles from where I was speaking during the same hour that it hit ... in the "HEART OF TEXAS"!!!

I do believe there may be a connection in all of the above and with the "horrific tragedy" we are all witnessing right now at Ft. Hood in Killeen, Texas. This is the base that my husband, Michael, processed out of when he retired from the military in 1997. I believe we were in that actual building where this crime took place yesterday afternoon.

The FIRE of this incident yesterday is a sign of what the Lord is wanting to do with the "Heart of Texas" .... there is a shaking going on in the largest state in our country ... at a military base nestled in the countryside of Texas that looks so similar to the area around Jerusalem ... a shaking that may very well mirror a shaking coming to Israel as well!

We all need to pray for Fort Hood, the physical and spiritual "Heart of Texas and that of the United States", and also for our beloved Israel!!  May our prayer be ... the "FIRE in the HEART OF TEXAS be a "prophetic sign" that each individual's heart in the HEART OF TEXAS, the HEART OF OUR NATION, and ISRAEL ... WILL BE ON FIRE FOR HIM ... JESUS CHRIST, OUR LORD!"

Change My Heart First, Oh God

CHANGE … we have all suddenly realized this word is the word of the hour over our country! How many of us are being shaken to the core over what we are seeing and realizing as our country seems to be spiraling out of control under its new leadership. I, for one, have experienced the overwhelming sense of hopelessness and fear in the midst of these ongoing changes before us.

Several weeks back the Holy Spirit began to speak to me very quietly about the sin of our words against the leader(s) who were elected to lead our country. I knew I needed to repent for my own attitude and spoken word. To be quite frank with you, I really didn’t want to. I felt justified in “calling it like I see it!!" I knew I was found guilty, but I did not want to turn as I almost felt like a traitor to the cause of speaking up against wrong doing!

Well, the time has come now to “confess my sin and turn from my wicked ways” … the Holy Spirit has gently but surely moved upon me to follow through with HIS way of confessing my sin and turning back to what HE has called all Believers to do … to honor and bless our leaders with the words of our mouths!  These leaders are not only those in governmental offices, but those who are over us spiritually ... apostles, pastors, and the leaders in the Church.

Our leaders are the ones our country has been allowed by God to rule over us. Whether we like it or not, we MUST turn our words from cursing to blessing, by praying that the Lord will “turn the heart of the king”. I do believe we, the Church, HOLD THE KEY TO BREAKTHROUGH FOUND IN THE WORD OF GOD and when we begin to do this … we will see the REAL CHANGE come about "first in our own hearts … and then the heart of the king” … as we trust our country into the hands of our Almighty God as HE will be the one to answer the cry of our hearts to bring this country back to HIM!

Hot Air Rising

When I heard the horrifying news report about the child in the hot air balloon in Colorado this week I had an immediate sense in my spirit that the Lord was giving a visual picture of a larger spiritual issue over our country … one in which the media is "blowing out of proportion” situations that have everyone watching in fear and trepidation. Storm chasing nuts are conjuring up stories for purposes of instilling hype, fear, and a lack of GOD WATCHING AND LISTENING TO!! We as a nation are watching and buying off on the news … a lot of “HOT AIR” is being released with the intent to draw our focus away from the more serious issues at hand in our nation.

I can give one example. Last Spring when the Swine flu was making its debut, and many schools were closing as a result, we experienced a lot of “crying wolf” due to the few who did actually come down sick. It was also announced that in the Fall of 2009 we would experience a worldwide flu pandemic. Initially, I could sense the fear that tried to come upon me. Note, I said initially. Then, it struck me that we should NOT be receiving a negative report of this sort and we should be standing against it!! This is part of the enemy’s assignment to get our focus off of WHO OUR GOD IS rather than the enemy who is instilling fear in the hearts of our nation. Many of us have come into agreement with these bad reports.

Yesterday my mother’s doctor told us that he will NOT be taking the swine vaccine (H1N1) himself. He said that symptoms of this strain of flu are mild in comparison with the regular flu and he is not suggesting this vaccine at all for his elderly patients like my Mom, yet, he would himself take the regular flu shot as it is a much more dangerous flu strain than that of the swine flu. He said numbers being magnified through the media today of those dying from this deadly swine flu is nothing in comparison to the 37,000 who died last year from the regular flu. He also commented that he felt there was too little time in the preparation of the vaccine.

We need to stop chasing the many hot air balloon reports that the media and our government are issuing for their own purposes to instill fear and to gain ultimate control over our lives … turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace!!
