SOUNDS MARK YOUR HEART AND SPIRIT

I received a free download of Shannon Wexelberg’s new song BOUNDLESS back in July 2010.  Shannon is a recording artist and graduate of Christ For The Nations.  As I listened to this song on my Windows Media Player I was watching the most beautiful display of kaleidoscope colors flash across my computer screen that I had ever seen!  It occurred to me that I might capture any one of these abstract configurations and save them to my computer.  So I did.  I had so much fun doing this over the course of an hour or so.  You can see three of those abstract configurations as the background to this blog’s title, SIXWINGS as well as the background to my second blog’s title, SHEKINAH, plus the abstract graphic you see above.

What happened was “eye opening”.  I received an informative email from an acquaintance that included an attached song that played on the same Windows Media Player I had just listened to BOUNDLESS on.  The song was very secular and had a hard rock tone to it.  The amazing thing that I noticed was the kaleidoscope array of abstract art was no longer beautiful.  It was dark and dreary and really what I would describe as evil in appearance.  By this I was deeply impressed by the association with “Heavenly sounds” with “beautiful colors” and “hard evil sounds” with “dark colorless” images.  My “hearing eyes” began to move me in believing that perhaps “evil sounds” have the capability to “leave dark impressions” in my spirit.

I share this to convey a message of how “beautiful sounds and music have made such an impression upon my spirit” and how my “hearing eyes” have been used to create the images you are seeing here.  Perhaps also, a little wisdom is coming from this … choose wisely what you and your family listen to … sounds are leaving indelible imprints upon your hearts and spirits!  What people see in us could be a reflection of what we have listened to that has left its mark.  Suppose spoken words can be seen on another because they left impressions upon their hearts and spirits.  Ponder this.
